Italian Majors

ITALIAN MAJORS REGULATIONS
Italian Majors is a golf circuit structured into three seasonal phases, chronologically listed in the official calendar, including three tournaments called Majors and one National Final.
The circuit is governed by the Rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, as adopted by the Italian Golf Federation (FIG), and by the Local Rules of the hosting club.
1. ELIGIBILITY
The circuit is open to all golfers registered with the Italian Golf Federation and their respective national federations.

The organization reserves the right to modify categories to ensure balanced participation.
In each qualifying tournament, the following non-cumulative prizes will be awarded:
1st and 2nd Net in each category; 1st Gross overall.

Players who accumulate at least 15 points during the relevant qualifying phase may enter the Major (paid entry) and compete for victory. Other players may participate (paid entry) but will not be eligible to win the Major.
Majors are played over 18 holes Stableford, with two reserved handicap categories (0–18; 19–36).
Prizes:
1st and 2nd Net in each category; 1st Gross.
Category winners and 1st Gross in each Major will qualify directly for the National Final.

Points earned in the Majors will be doubled and added to the national ranking.
In case of ties, FIG rules will apply.

Any claim must be submitted in writing to the Tournament Committee within 30 minutes of the end of play. If no claim is filed, results will be considered final.
Claims regarding eligibility must be submitted at least three days before the event. Late claims will not be accepted.
Players suspended or disqualified during the season under FIG Rule 3/3B will have all accumulated points reset to zero.
They may re-enter the ranking once the suspension is served.
If suspension is still in effect at the time of the Final (Italian or international), the qualified player will lose the right to participate.
