Sun Sea, exciting panoramas, breathtaking courses, good and friendly players: many were the ingredients of the exciting week in Gran Canaria by Green Pass Golf, during which the final of the Green Pass Card Trophy 2021 circuit was staged, played on the 26th and 27th last October. On the course of the panoramic Golf Costa Meloneras, which hosted a stage of the European Tour Gran Canaria Lopesan Open from 2 to 25 April 2021, the 10 finalists battled it out in a final match played over 36 holes. At the end of the first lap, after an amazing performance in which he scored 4 birdies, Bram Ceulemans took the lead with a net score of 39 Stableford points. Behind him, four lengths away, the experienced Oliver Castellana, together with one of the best players of the year Fabio Gazzola and debutant Rossella Ferrario; at seven points the winner of the ranking lady Elena Ripamonti and at 8 tied for the reigning champion Alessandro Seveso, Raimond Vogelezang and Mattia Massa; to close the ranking of the first day, despite the excellent 9 first holes, Keith Ramsay and Andrea Iannantuoni During the second day of competition, Bram Ceulemans was unable to repeat the excellent first lap and slipped to 6th place. At the end of the hard-fought 18 holes, Fabio Gazzola lifted the cup: a victory crowning a year during which he displayed a very regular game, which earned him qualification for various international competitions. After having failed attempts to win by participating in the finals in Palm Springs, Santo Domingo and Mexico, there could not have been a more deserving winner and, for this, our heartfelt congratulations go to him. In second position, just two lengths from an ever closer peak, is Oliver Castellana. Third place for Raimond Vogelenzang and 4th for Rossella Ferrario. After the final, the week continued under the sign of the typical Canary good weather among tasty local delicacies, interesting excursions and, of course, still lots and lots of golf!
