After the year and a half since the last pre-pandemic final in Thailand, the final of the Green Pass Card Trophy 2020 circuit has finally been staged in Tenerife, held on 28 and 30 November.

On the course of the panoramic Golf Costa Adeje, which hosted the stage of the European Tour Tenerife Open from 29 April to 2 May, the 10 finalists battled it out in a final match with strong emotions, also thanks to the novelty introduced this year by the 36 holes in length and the management of scores with the Golf Game Book app, already tested for years in the Italian Majors finals, which allows competitors to view the progress of the results in real time.

At the end of the first lap, with a constant play and without excessive smudging, Alessandro De Probizer and Francesco Bellazzi flew to the lead with a net score of 32 stbl points. Following, two lengths away, the expert captains of the Italian Majors 2020 final held in Castelfalfi last June, Dario Donadoni and Andrea Iannantuoni; three points behind the leaders Alessandro Seveso, closely followed by Oliver Castellana at +4, while the only lady finalist, Margaret Scavone, finished in seventh position at +6, followed by Sabatino Di Francesco, Damiano Pinarello and Andrea Carletti.

During the second day of competition the players were put in difficulty by a constant wind that lashed with greater intensity than on the first day, thus making the greens even faster. At the end of the hard-fought 18 holes, Alessandro Seveso raised the cup. With admirable passion, strategy, determination and concentration Alessandro managed to recover the first places and, keeping a cool head, to sign the victory right on the green of the 18th hole, thanks to the precious, and not obvious, two putts he needed to win the coveted title. After an amazing qualification achieved in the play offs of the match play, there could not have been a more deserving winner and for this reason our warmest congratulations go to him.
In second position, thanks to the excellent final played, Francesco Bellazzi tied with the third classified Alessandro De Probizer, also the author of a great debut as a finalist.

After the final, the week continued under the banner of typical canary good weather with tasty local delicacies, interesting excursions and, of course, still a lot, lots of golf!
