"Hoakalei"

Hoakalei means "reflection of a lei" and originates from a Hawaiian legend recounting the journey made by Hi'iaka—sister of the volcano goddess Pele—across the archipelago to retrieve Lohiau, Pele's lover. According to the story, while crossing the Ewa plain, Hi'iaka saw her own reflection in a spring while wearing garlands of lehua flowers (hence the translation "reflection of a lei").

Designed by Ernie Els, nicknamed "The Big Easy," Hoakalei challenges even the most experienced golfers while also offering an enjoyable experience for recreational players. Measuring a remarkable 7,413 yards from the back tees, Hoakalei is the longest course in Hawaii, ideal for those looking to test their limits! The standard tees measure 6,226 yards, perfect for players seeking a relaxing round on a course in impeccable condition.

112 Bunkers

The course is dotted with 112 strategically placed bunkers, making shots, at times risky but extremely rewarding and challenging. Mr. Els designed this course to meet the needs of every golfer, amateur or professional, with beautiful bodies of water, some of which are treacherous. The layout of the holes was designed with the trade winds in mind, meaning Hoakalei is a course that can offer a different playing experience from day to day.

Deep Blue

Hoakalei boasts nine bodies of water that reflect the clear Ewa Beach sky. Water enters play on 13 of the 18 holes, making the course both beautiful and challenging.
