Located in the Lazio countryside, 40 kilometers from Rome, Golf Nazionale was commissioned by the then President of the Italian Golf Federation, Giuseppe Silva. Designed by George and Jim Fazio and David Mezzacane, it was immediately appreciated for its use of the land, including the use of a natural ditch that runs through the course in a horseshoe shape. The atmosphere on this course is truly captivating, thanks to the abundance and beauty of the centuries-old oak trees that tower over the 70 hectares surrounding the Golf Club.

The technical, challenging, and fun course has hosted the 1991 World Cup, the 2023 Junior Ryder Cup, and the 2024 Ladies Italian Open. It also boasts numerous titles, such as "Top Ten Course" in Italy. The quality and great enjoyment of the course, also suitable for amateurs, rightfully place it among the best golf courses in Europe.
Golf Nazionale supports the principles of eco-sustainability, with its turf made of a new-generation Bermuda Grass that is well-suited to the Mediterranean climate and can withstand even very harsh winters.
