The Golf Club Monticello has hosted seven Italian Open and the most prestigious pro in the world have played on its courses. The score record is held by Costantino Rocca with 63, while Severiano Ballesteros has faced it, since the dawn of his exceptional career.
The structure is spread over 140 hectares and in addition to the two courses, both par 72, it also houses 630 housing units overlooking the greens, 4 swimming pools, 6 tennis courts, wellness area, gym and two football fields.
The Club House, as well as the houses, are the work of the architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni, who has been able to create harmonies of peculiar shapes, with spaces that follow each other giving special views on the two golf courses.
Two artificial lakes, the crowning mountains and two hundred thousand trees are the setting for this unique and fascinating golf course.
How to get there
Autostrada dei Laghi: A9 Como-Chiasso; tollgate exit Fino Mornasco; turn left towards Cassina Rizzardi go straight on for about 1 km, after the third roundabout turn right where you will find the entrance to the Club.
It is 7 km from Como 30 km from Milan; 20 km from Malpensa airport, 10 km from the Swiss border.
