The province of Milan is crossed by a net of routes winding along the channels and the parks, pleasing routes discovering the most beautiful spots of a land rich in arts, nature and food & wine variety. Let’s start with the artistic heritage of Milan, the magnificence of the Castello Sforzesco and the Duomo, symbol of the Italian Gothic, and the many green spots: from Parco Sempione to the little gem of the Guastalla, from the historic gardens dedicated to the Italian journalist Indro Montanelli to the newest parks such as the Lambro, from the parks embracing Milan in a green natural circle to the most beautiful examples of “English garden”, such as the one of Villa Belgioioso Bonaparte, including notable buildings. Outside Milan you have a wide choice: the scenery of this province is studded with many green oasis, full of natural attractions, such as the “fontanili” (sources), typical elements of the agricultural land of the Po Valley, and historical and architectonical presences. The Navigli offer interesting and fascinating routes over the entire territory. This river paths, constituting meeting places, exchange channels and a trade source, were for centuries a font of art inspiration. Today still exist clubs, restaurants and painters atelier, drawbridges, weirs and embankments, testifying and continuing centuries of experience.
