Friuli-Venezia Giulia is a weave of arts telling particular tales to be tasted slowly, to be revealed little by little in order to catch its most magical colours. Set between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, it contains many witnesses of history and culture of the West and the East.

In Pordenone worth a visit are Romanesque churches, gothic and baroque buildings, porticos and façades with frescoes and Cinquecento palaces.
Enchanting are the castles in the Kras Plateau region, set on crags or sea cliffs: Duino, Osoppo, Spilimbergo, Villalta, Zoppola, Porcia and Palmanova, having a 9-tips star shape, are some of the impressive fortresses of this land.
The region Friuli-Venezia Giulia offers also the possibility to relax along the long sandy beaches and over the quiet sea of Grado or to enjoy walks and bike runs through wonderful wine yards, mountains and charming valleys.
Friuli offers the golfers a wide course choice: one can play in the clean air of the Alps, or immersed in the landscapes of the Kras Plateau hills; also very impressive is swinging by the rhythm of the lapping of the Adriatic Sea. The history of this land is evident also in the cuisine, with the many typical receipts, from the rustic Alpine tradition, to the Austro-Hungarian and the Mediterranean one.
