The mounts of the austrian Alps are a world famed skiing travel destination. Thanks to the many beauties of nature, Austria is the perfect destination for lovers of nature and trekking: 47% of the land is covered by woods.
Obviously no travel can take place in Austria without visiting Vienna or one of the other old towns such as Salzburg, Graz, Innsbruck, Linz. Austria is a country with a long and rich cultural tradition. Its capitol city, as good as the other towns, has many museums worth a visit.
Another attraction of Austria are the many little old towns: Feldkirch (Vorarlberg); Imst, Hall, Kufstein, Lienz (Tirol); Zell am See, Radstadt (Salzburger); Spittal (Kaernten); Judenburg, Bad Radkersburg (Stiria); Bad Ischl, Gmunden, Wels, Enns, Steyr, Schärding (Alta Austria); Baden (Bassa Austria); Rust (Burgerland).
Very interesting is also a visit to the abbeys, such as those of Admont, Geras, Göttweig, Gurk, Klosterneuburg, Kremsmünster, Mariazell, Melk, St. Florian.
