From the club house, converted from a beautiful seventeenth century house, there is a magnificent view of a green volcanic crater transformed by the “creativity of an expert” – the American “magician” Robert Trent Jones – into a challenging course with interesting technical features. The ground, already contoured by nature, is enhanced by 96 bunkers, 3 lakes, artificial hazards and a thousand other traps that are counterbalanced by age-old olive trees, oaks and cluster pines. From the balcony of the house you will be charmed by the complete view of the 18- hole golf course. This make the location closer and more suggestive.
Darren Clarke, Retief Goosen, Costantino Rocca, Eduardo Romero, Sam Torrance e Van De Velde are between the champions who competed during the European Tour on this 6222 metres long course.
