The Villafranca Golf Club was founded at the beginning of the Nineties on a softly rolling, undulating terrain at the foot of the Custoza hill, formerly a historic battlefield. Set within lush green surroundings, far from the hustle and bustle of city life and traffic, the golf club is becoming increasingly popular and has currently seen a considerable increase in membership also thanks to the warm, welcoming atmosphere of its club house. This 18 hole course, designed by Ferruccio Corrado Bertolini, will shortly be enlarged with an additional 9 holes to become the most important course in the Verona area.
Despite its tranquil location, the Villafranca Golf Club is easily accessible from the Sommacampagna motorway situated at a distance of just 3 kilometres. Its mild climate, the result of its proximity to Lake Garda, means that golf can be played year-round. The club now also offers a restaurant and bedrooms (including 3 suites).
