In 1903, during a meeting, Mr Flach said that he had found a suitable ground for a golf course. The place was located 3 km away from Porta Maggiore, near Acqua Santa. It was the property of prince Torlonia and there was the possibility to come to an agreement with the milkman for the transports.
In addition to a golf course and a rural farmhouse (the one with the arch) the club also had a tennis and a croquet court. A multipurpose complex which was attractive for both golf and tennis players.

Where We Are
Come Arrivarci
From Fiumicino Airport: drive on the motorway Fiumicino-Roma in the direction of Rome. Get into the Grande Raccordo Anulare in the direction of Napoli-L’Aquila. Take the exit 23 (Appia Roma Appio S.Giovanni Ciampino). As soon as you get into the Via Appia Nuova, keep to the right in order to change direction and head to Roma Centro. Continue on Via Appia for 7km.
At the Torre del Fiscale traffic lights turn right and then turn left to the first side street. Turn left again in the first side street (Via di Monte Albino). Turn lights at the traffic lights on Via Appia Nuova. After 50 metres you will find the entrance of the club on your right.
From Rome city centre: follow the signs to San Giovanni. Head south in Via Appia Nuova and continue for 3km. The club is on the right.
