Warren Abery jumped to the front of the field early on day two at the Alfred Dunhill Championship with six birdies in his first ten holes.
The South African got off to a flying start in his second round at Leopard Creek Golf Club to move to ten under for the tournament.
That was enough to see Abery take a one shot lead over Spain`s Rafael Cabrera Bello, who was three under for the day and nine under for the tournament after 12 holes.
Overnight joint leader Michael Jonzon (in the picture) was alongside him having birdied two of his first six holes after a splendid opening round of 65.
Three players are a shot further back - Swede Johan Edfors, England`s Seve Benson and Spain`s Alvaro Velasco.
Jonzon`s co-leader overnight - American Len Mattiace - is yet to start his second round, but has been joined on seven under by home favourites Charl Schwartzel and Richard Sterne, who have played nine holes of their second round and are both three under for the day.
